1. How do I request samples and literature?
There are several ways to do this; Samples can be requested on-line by
saving part number selections in "RFI" (Request for Information). Once you are
satisfied with your item listing in "RFI", you can select the "Review/Send
Request" button to have the information sent to us for quotes and/or samples.
When you submit your request, a copy of the request is stored in the "Review
Sent Requests" section for future reference. In addition, there is a form you
can electronically submit to Sales or you can
call us during business hours (8:00am to 5:00pm M-F, CST, USA) toll-free at
1-800-447-0343 and ask to speak to a sales representative or market manager.
A TriMark catalog is available by filling out the catalog
request form and click the submit button to have a TriMark product
catalog sent to you. If you do not want a complete catalog and have an interest
in a few specific products, Technical Publications are available to view/print
online by selecting the Technical Publication button located on the individual
Product Platform page.
2. What is the lead-time for samples and
quotations?
Samples and quotations for part numbers that have the status code of
A/A (active/available) are usually available in 3-5 days. Part numbers that
have the status code of NA/BO (non-active/build to order) will take a little
longer as this part is only available as "build to order". Please allow 2-3
weeks for processing/scheduling. The status code is shown on the far right of
the platform results chart.
3. What is the difference between the TriMark
Part Number and the catalog number?
The TriMark part number is used within TriMark's MRP
system and is a random part number assigned to the finished goods and
components (12345-XX). The catalog number is a part number assigned to the
product that has a significant code built-in that defines the product and it's
features. The relationship of the 2 numbers is exclusive, so either number can
be used to identify the product. However, not all parts in the TriMark e-catalog
have a TriMark part number assigned to it, only those parts that have
A/A (active/available) status.
4. What is the difference between "My Info"
and "Favorites"?
"My Info" or "RFI" (Request for Information) works as a cart and allows
you to generate a list of items from our online catalog. Once you are satisfied
with your item listing in "RFI", you can select the "Review/Send Request"
button to have the information sent to us for obtaining orders, quotes,
samples, or designing solutions for your application. From "RFI", you can add
items to a "Favorites" list that you have created.
Using the "Favorites List" feature enables you to create up to 10 savable lists
of items you want to keep track of and name your lists for easy identification
(e.g. MyProject#, MyApplication, etc.) To start a "Favorites List", either
create a new one or add an item from the "RFI" page; your list will be created
automatically. You can create up to 10 lists however; you can only manage one
list at a time. The "Current Favorite" listed is the only list you can
add/remove items, change its title or move items to "RFI" for requesting
information. The "Favorites Manager" displays all lists you have created. To
view a list, select on the appropriate list name under "Favorites Manager". To
change your "Default Favorites List", first view the list by selecting the
appropriate list name under "Favorites Manager" then select the "Make Default"
button to make the current favorite as your "Default Favorites List". Note -
you must be a registered user to use "Favorites". Please see question
# 10.
5. Does TriMark have sales
representatives throughout the USA and in Europe?
TriMark has field representation in the continental United
States. For the name and number of the representative nearest you, please
select sales representatives and click on your
state or region for the appropriate sales representative in your area that can
assist you in configuring a solution particular to your application.

6. My search by number showed "No Results",
but I know it is an active number. What can I do?
Not all TriMark products and part numbers are in the e-catalog.
First retry "Quick Search" using the following tips: Using the "Quick Search"
at the top of the page select the "Search by Number" category and enter a
number or partial number in the "Quick Search" field. You can enter a TriMark
part number (ex. 12345-XX) or a Catalog number (ex. 0500100-XXX-XXXXX-XXX). You
may type all or a portion of the number, but the more complete the name/number
is the more focused the search results will be. Hint: The Catalog Number is 7
characters and is the same as the TriMark product codes.
You can use "Wild Cards" for searches where you do not know the complete
number. Here are some guidelines for Wild Card searches:
"?" is a single-character wild card.
"*" is a multiple-character wild card.
Wild cards are only needed at the beginning or middle of a search string. "*"
wildcard will automatically be placed at the end of your search string. If the
above searches do not yield any results, you can contact a TriMark Technical
Representative for assistance. There are several ways to do this. There is a
form you can electronically submit a Technical Inquiry
or you can call us during business hours (8:00am to 5:00pm M-F, CST, USA)
toll-free at 1-800-447-0343 and ask to speak to a technical specialist.
7. I looked through your e-catalog, but need a
special adaptation. What should I do?
If a standard TriMark product does not fit your application
requirements, ask about an extension or modification or TriMark can
develop an all-new design that is engineered specifically for your application.
You can submit your product idea suggestion online through our
Product Idea Suggestion Form.
8. What is the production lead-time for a
product that has the status "non-active/build to order"? (NA/BO)
The normal production lead-time for part numbers that have the status
code of A/A (active/available) is usually available in 2-4 weeks. Part numbers
that have the status code of NA/BO (non-active/build to order) will take a
little longer as this part is only available as "build to order". Please allow
an additional 2-4 weeks for scheduling/processing depending on the complexity
and availability of components. The status code is shown on the far right of
the platform results chart.
9. How do I determine if I can buy direct or
need to buy through distribution?
TriMark sells direct to major OEM's and their first tier
suppliers. TriMark also has distributors
with certain products readily available for immediate delivery.
TriMark Service and Replacement Parts, a Division of TriMark Corporation,

products and help with the identification of repair or service parts. You can

10. Why should I register with your site?

quotations and samples on-line plus obtain new product updates and other TriMark
news.

2. I lost my key. What should I do?
We will need some basic information to help identify the product before you
contact us:
-
What is the application that the product is used on? Is it a motor home, travel
trailer, etc., and is the product used on the entrance door or
baggage/compartment door, etc.?
-
We need to try to identify what TriMark product it is. A brief description of
the relative size, shape and color is helpful. You can look through the TriMark
e-catalog "TIPS" to see if you can identify the product. Go to Product Index
and scroll down until you see the product that most resembles the one you have.
The Platform number and name will assist us in quickly identifying the key that
is required. (Example: 060-0650 Motor Home Entrance Door Hardware With Dead
Bolt)
-
Are there any markings on the scalp of the lock that may help us? There may be
a code stamped on the scalp that could be a single letter such as "G" or a key
code "TM 500".
After you have all/most of the information. You can contact the Tri Mark Service
and Replacement Parts, a Division of Tri Mark Corporation for their
assistance. You can contact them directly by clicking here.
3. How do I determine the correct handing of a
product?
Some Tri Mark products require the same-handed product as the door and
for some, product handing is an aspect of product function. The following is a
general rule of thumb that applies to door conventions: The handing of a door
is determined by the position of the hinges when facing the door from the
outside of the unit.
Left hand door - The hinges are on the left side of the door
Right hand door - The hinges are on the right side of the door
Most of Tri Mark applications are for doors that open outward (towards
you) and hinged in front. Inward opening doors and "suicide doors" may not
follow this convention.
Please review the product drawings, technical publications and typical
applications for final determinations, or you can contact Tri Mark to get
direct technical support to assist you with your product selection and
application needs. There are several ways to do this. There is a form you can
electronically submit a Technical Inquiry or you
can call us during business hours (8:00am to 5:00pm M-F, CST, USA) toll-free at
1-800-447-0343 and ask to speak to a technical specialist.
4. How do I know if a product is compatible
with another product?
This question has a couple of issues; the interdependency between product lines
and the compatibility of individual part numbers to make-up a system.
We have a section in the web site entitled
Technical Product Information where you can review technical
information to assist with the selection of Tri Mark's products in terms
of strength/duty considerations. In addition, there is a section on the
individual product platform page where related products and accessories that
are compatible are listed. There is also a button linked to 2D CAD drawings
that show the product used in a typical application.
It is impossible to cover each and every potential combination of parts that
are appropriate for each application. Please review the product drawings,
technical publications and typical applications for final determinations, or
you can contact Tri Mark to get direct technical support to assist you
with your product selection and application needs. There are several ways to do
this. There is a form you can electronically submit a Technical

What should I do?
If a standard Tri Mark product does not fit your application
requirements, ask about an extension or modification or Tri Mark can
develop an all-new design that is engineered specifically for your application.
You can submit your product idea suggestion online through our
Product Idea Suggestion Form.
Advanced Search:
There are 2 ways to do this within the Tri Mark e-catalog:
If the product is a Feature-Based platform (A feature based platform has a
table of product features that you can select from to build a part number),
then you can review the table of features for the product you are trying to
match, and select the exact same features except the handing, and the opposite
hand will result.
Another way is to copy and paste the catalog number from the part you know into
the Tri Mark "Quick Search" and select the "Search by Number" category.
The Catalog number consists of the product code number followed by a string of
numbers (ex. 0500100- XXX-XXXXX-XXX). Change the first character of the
first field (Bold face) to the handing desired and the results will show the
opposite hand product. ( Note: Products that are latches must also have
the first character of the second field of 5 characters changed to match the
handing)
1 = Right hand
2 = Left hand
If the above searches do not yield any results, you can contact a Tri Mark
Technical Representative for assistance. There are several ways to do this.

2. I cannot find the product or part number
for which I am searching. What should I do?
Using the "Quick Search" at the top of the page select the "Search by Number"
category and enter a number or partial number in the "Quick Search" field. You
can enter a Tri Mark part number (ex. 12345-XX) or a Catalog number (ex.
0500100-XXX-XXXXX-XXX). You may type all or a portion of the number, but the
more complete the name/number is the more focused the search results will be. Hint:

codes.

If you are searching for a product code or keyword, select "Search by
Keyword/Product Code" in the "Quick Search" and enter a keyword or partial
keyword in the "Quick Search" field. (i.e. two rotor latch) or enter a product
code number into the "Quick Search" field. The first 2 or 3 characters define
the product classification and the next 3 or 4 characters define the product
platform. (i.e. 50-100, 100-400, 060-0100) The catalog number can also be
entered as 50-100, 050-0100 and 50100.

a set of general attributes and special requirements within the following
product families: Latches, Handles, and Hinges. This method is very helpful in
comparing multiple products with similar functions, features, materials and
finishes.

select from Tri Mark's main platforms.
If the above searches do not yield any results, you can contact a Tri Mark
