TriMark HISTORY AND
CORPORATE FACTS
- TriMark is based in New Hampton, Iowa with
International sales and distribution in
Leicester, United Kingdom. TriMark is employee
owned.
- TriMark was founded in 1970 as Lynor Engineering,
Inc. The original building was
less than 5,000 square feet and company employment was
fewer than 10.
- As a market leader in providing door system solutions
to OEMs, the company�s primary
products include handles, latches, hinges, linkages and
electronics to the off-highway,
recreational vehicle, on-highway, specialty vehicle and
industrial enclosure industries.
- In 1971, the company was acquired by Owatonna Tool Company
of Minnesota. The
company soon began to specialize in products for the mobile
home and recreational
vehicle markets.
- In the early 1970�s, the product line expanded to include
hardware for garage doors
and residences. Product lines continued to expand with
the inclusion of products for
both industrial and agricultural applications.
- In late 1978, the company name was changed to TriMark
Corporation.
- In 1985, Sealed Power Corporation acquired the Owatonna
Tool Company, including
TriMark Corporation.
- In 1988, SPX makes the decision to sell TriMark.
- In 1989, TriMark becomes an employee-owned
corporation (ESOP).
- In 1997, TriMark Europe is incorporated as
a distribution and logistics facility. TriMark
Europe
is located at Bardon Hill, Coalville, United Kingdom.
- In 1999, TriMark Service and Replacement Parts
is launched and is located in a new
9,600 square foot facility in New Hampton, Iowa.
- In 2005, TriMark employs almost 265 professionals
and is housed in a 102,900 square
foot building on a 12-acre site.
